VIROLOGY AND MICROBIOLOGY
Main research areas:
– development the methods and methodology of sanitary monitoring in the process of certified grape planting material production;
– microbiological isolation of grape phitoplasma pathogens;
– identification the bacterial diseases causal agents of grape: crown gall disease, bacterial necrosis with real-time PCR;
– identification the bacterial diseases causal agents of grapes: bois noire and flavescence doree by real-time PCR;
– diagnosis of grape virus diseases (GFLV, GFkV, GLRaV-1, GLRaV-3, GVA, GVB) by PCR and ELISA methods;
– quantification and identification the GM-lines of soy, maize in real time;
– identification the GM-organisms in food products, food raw materials, production catering.

Methods:
– microbiological isolation of causal agents of grapevine crown gall disease, bacterial necrosis and eutipa dieback;
– ELISA detection of grapevine viruses and bacterial necrosis causal agent;
– PCR detection of grapevine viruses, causal agents of crown gall, phytoplasma and fungal diseases;
– multiplex real-time RT-PCR to detect several pathogens simultaneously
Developed:
– the method of phytoplasma disease (bois noire) causal agents detection by real-time PCR has been developed;
– the method of grape viruses identification by multiplex real-time RT-PCR has been developed.
Offers to production:
– diagnosis of latent viral, bacterial and phytoplasma infection on grapes;
– cultivation of bacteria-antagonists to prevent the spread of crown gall pathogen;
– detection the GMO in food products and food raw materials, production catering.
