March 10, 2021 celebrates the 80th anniversary of the scientist in the field of agrochemistry and soil science of grapes, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences Anatoly Mikhailovich Samsonov!
Anatoly Mikhailovich Samsonov was born on March 10, 1941 in the city of Kerky, Chardzhou region (Turkmenistan). After graduating from high school in 1958 he entered the Samarkand Agricultural Institute.

In 1966 he entered graduate school in UkrNDIViV them. V.Ye. Tairov’s specialty is agrochemistry. He conducted research and summarized them in his dissertation “The effect of fertilizers on increasing the yield and improving the quality of the grapevine in the south of Ukraine”, which he successfully defended in February 1972.
In 1976-1980 he was sent by the Ministry of Agriculture of the USSR to France for a research internship on the topic: “Study of new methods for determining the needs of grapes in fertilizers in order to most effectively apply them.”
After an internship in France, Anatoly Mikhailovich conducts research on programming the grape harvest, begins research on the development of artificial mineral substrate for vegetative propagation of grapes, which is based on zeolite. Work begins on the use of zeolite in the laboratory-greenhouse complex of the institute.
In 1993, A.M. Samsonov is appointed head of the laboratory of agrochemistry. Works on the system of fertilization of intensive vineyards and develops methods for optimizing the composition of the zeolite substrate for growing grapes in a protected soil.
For the successful implementation of the thematic plan of the institute A.M. Samsonov was awarded the medal “For Labor Valor”, has diplomas and thanks from the government and administration of the institute.
